Singaporean Government Delegation Visits Member Companies

July 16 ,2026

To build a bridge for industrial exchange between China and Singapore and to empower Xi'an’s science and technology enterprises to achieve internationalization, recently, Singapore’s Senior Minister of State (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Home Affairs), Sim Ying, led a government delegation on a visit to the Xi'an High-tech Zone. This visiting delegation was of high caliber and rich in economic and trade resources, comprising key government and economic representatives such as Singapore’s Ambassador to China, Chen Haiquan; Singapore’s Consul General in Chengdu, Chen Zhien; the Political Counselor at the Singaporean Embassy in China; the Head of the Greater China Region at the Singapore Economic Development Board; and senior officials from the Northeast Asia Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Under the overall coordination of the Xi'an High-Tech Enterprise Association, the delegation visited three high-quality member companies—Orca Tech, Semipower, and Revopoint—in succession. During the visit, the delegation focused on three key areas: the overseas expansion of hard-tech products, establishing a foothold in the Southeast Asian market, and cross-border technological collaboration. The delegation conducted on-site research into the core independently developed technologies and global development strategies of Xi'an’s local science and technology enterprises, and engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges on topics including industrial overseas expansion, technological collaboration, talent exchange, and financial support.

Lei Haojun, Deputy Director of the Protocol Office of the Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, and Zhang Wenjia, a staff member, as well as Jia Xiaoyan, Secretary-General of the Xi'an High-Tech Enterprise Association, and Zhao Jie, Head of the Listing and Financing Department, accompanied the inspection throughout the entire process.

‌Orca-Tech

The delegation’s first stop was Orca Tech, a leading domestic enterprise in the field of unmanned watercraft. Zhu Jiannan, Chairman and CEO of the company, warmly welcomed the group along with the team responsible for overseas markets, branding, and corporate secretariat. The delegation toured the company’s full range of intelligent unmanned vessels and comprehensive water monitoring systems, gaining a firsthand understanding of the company’s domestically developed technological strengths in areas such as waterway cleaning, ecological monitoring, and port operations. During the discussion, both sides delved into potential cooperation opportunities—such as technology implementation, joint development of overseas channels, and collaborative project initiatives—taking into account Singapore’s urban waterways and coastal port operational needs. At the end of the visit, the two sides posed for a commemorative photo, capturing this memorable moment of industrial exchange between China and Singapore.

 SEMIPOWER

The delegation visited Semipower, a leading power semiconductor company in the Xi'an High-tech Zone. Chairman Luo Yi warmly welcomed the group, accompanied by senior executives, researchers, and the core R&D and testing team. The exhibition hall provided a comprehensive showcase of the company’s achievements across the entire industry chain, including power semiconductor chips, electric control systems for new-energy vehicles, and its third-party testing laboratory. Representatives from Singapore’s Economic Development Board, drawing on the growth opportunities presented by the new-energy industry in Southeast Asia, engaged in an in-depth discussion with the company about potential collaboration paths—including chip exports, cross-border certifications, and market expansion into Southeast Asia—thus uncovering ample room for mutual trade and industrial synergy.

Revopoint

The final stop of this visit was Revopoint, a leading company in 3D depth vision. Co-founder Yang Tao, Deputy General Manager Wu Tong, and the CEO’s office team accompanied the delegation on a tour and provided hands-on experience with the company’s industrial-grade and consumer-grade 3D depth cameras as well as its comprehensive robot vision solutions. Both sides exchanged insights into industry trends, covering topics such as the global upgrade of intelligent manufacturing, high-precision industrial inspection, overseas product distribution, and joint R&D initiatives. The delegation highly praised the company’s self-developed optical imaging technology for its cost-effectiveness and superior performance, and expressed their anticipation of establishing long-term, international cooperation channels in the future.

During the two-day on-site visit, the Singaporean delegation highly praised Xi'an High-tech Zone’s well-developed hard-tech industry cluster ecosystem and the strong independent innovation capabilities of its three member enterprises. The delegation stated that, as an international hub for commerce and cross-border investment and financing, Singapore is committed to continuously establishing channels for resource matching and actively helping Xi'an’s science and technology enterprises connect with Southeast Asian markets, international capital, and high-quality overseas project resources.‌

As a comprehensive service platform for science and technology enterprises in the High-tech Zone, the Xi'an High-tech Enterprise Association provided full-scale coordination for this high-end diplomatic visit. By precisely matching the industrial synergies between the two sides, the Association successfully established a high-level international exchange and networking platform for its member enterprises.

Next, the association will continue to serve as a bridge for government-enterprise communication and a vital link for cross-border industries, regularly organizing specialized activities such as overseas government-and-enterprise visits, cross-border investment and financing matchmaking, and training sessions on expanding into foreign markets. The association will wholeheartedly support high-quality science and technology enterprises in the High-tech Zone to “set sail and go global,” deepen collaborative synergy between China and Singapore in the hard-tech industry, and leverage high-level international cooperation as a key driver to comprehensively empower enterprises within its jurisdiction to achieve high-quality, internationally-oriented development.
