To fully implement the municipal party committee and municipal government’s plans for expanding opening up, promoting technological innovation, supporting the international growth of local enterprises, and to build a platform that connects high-quality local businesses with UK technology resources, the China-UK Technology Business Exchange Day was successfully held on March 19, 2026, in the Xi’an High-tech Zone. The event was co-hosted by the Administrative Committee of Xi’an High-tech Zone and the UK Department for Business and Trade, and organized by the Xi’an High-tech Enterprise Association.

The event kicked off with opening remarks from Matt Moody, Minister Counsellor (Innovation) at the British Embassy in China, who reaffirmed the UK’s commitment to building a platform for business exchange and cooperation between China and the UK. Following him, Chu Liang, Director of the Investment Promotion Center of Xi’an High-tech Zone, shared insights into the local industrial ecosystem and business environment, and extended a warm invitation to UK companies to invest.

Local companies also shared their own practical experiences in expanding overseas. Discussions focused on the digital economy, artificial intelligence, energy management, risk management, standards and certification, exhibition services, and project alignment between Chinese and UK companies.
This exchange event provided an important platform for Chinese companies to bring in advanced UK technologies, management expertise, and international resources, effectively strengthening their international operational capabilities and opening up new paths for overseas development.
Looking ahead, the Xi’an High-tech Enterprise Association will continue to serve as a bridge, aligning with capital market and industrial development strategies. It will regularly establish international exchange and cooperation platforms, strengthen policy guidance, enhance resource connections, and provide professional services. The Association will guide its member companies to seize opportunities, actively participate in global industrial and supply chain deployment, and support Xi’an’s high-quality development as a national central city and a hub for robust economic and social growth through high-level international engagement.
